The idea

Name the problem in five words, one word per beat: "Your site looks like everyone's." Then a vermilion exclamation mark cuts in and the WU! mark builds itself on a grid, as the answer.

How it moves

Heavy grotesque type on hard cuts sets a 120 BPM pace. After the mark, the reel walks through the studio's own site: services, proof, a brief you fill in with one sentence, and a load time counter that drops before your eyes.

Beat by beat

Craft notes

  1. 01

    Say the problem first

The first two seconds name what the viewer is tired of, before the studio says a word about itself.

  2. 02

    The site is the showreel

Every later beat is a real section of the studio site, so the reel doubles as a tour.

  3. 03

    Rhythm over effects

Hard cuts on the beat do more work than transitions ever could.
